Cockroaches are the pest we're called about most. German cockroaches breed incredibly fast in warm kitchens, behind fridges and inside appliances, while the larger American cockroach lives in drains, sewers and roof spaces and wanders indoors at night. Store-bought sprays usually just scatter them deeper into walls.

Our cockroach treatments combine professional gel baits placed in hinges, cracks and voids where roaches hide, with targeted residual treatment of harbourage points such as drains, skirting, geyser cupboards and appliance motors. For heavy infestations we schedule a follow-up visit to break the breeding cycle.

What are the signs you need treatment?

  • Roaches running for cover when you switch the kitchen light on at night
  • Droppings like ground pepper or coffee grounds in drawers and cupboard hinges
  • Brown egg cases (oothecae) behind the fridge, stove or microwave
  • A musty, oily smell in cupboards in heavier infestations
  • Shed skins near appliances, the geyser cupboard or under the sink

How does it work?

  1. InspectionWe find where they are breeding: appliances, sink units, drains, ducts and cracks.
  2. Targeted treatmentGel baits in hiding spots plus residual treatment of harbourage and entry points.
  3. Safety briefingClear instructions on re-entry, cleaning and what to expect over the next few days.
  4. Follow-upA follow-up visit for heavier or German cockroach infestations to catch newly hatched nymphs.

How should I prepare?

  • Pack food away and clear kitchen counters
  • Empty the cupboards under the sink and around the stove
  • Move pet food and water bowls out of the kitchen
  • Do not spray store-bought insecticide before we arrive: it repels baits and spreads roaches

Cockroach Control FAQs

Why do I see more cockroaches straight after treatment?

This is normal for a few days. The treatment flushes roaches out of their hiding places before they die. Activity should drop steadily over the following one to two weeks.

How many treatments will I need?

Light infestations are often handled in one visit. Heavy German cockroach infestations, especially in flats and restaurants, usually need a follow-up about two weeks later to catch nymphs that hatch from egg cases.

Is cockroach treatment safe for children and pets?

Gel baits are placed in cracks, hinges and voids out of reach. We explain exactly how long to keep children and pets out of treated areas, if at all, before we start.
