We start by finding how rodents are getting in and where they are nesting, then set up tamper-resistant lockable bait stations and traps in the right places. We also point out the gaps, gutters and overhanging branches that need sealing or trimming so the problem doesn't return.
Why is it a problem in Fish Hoek?
Fish Hoek's family homes in the valley between False Bay and the mountains see rodents and spiders from the surrounding fynbos as well as coastal cockroaches.
Living near the sea. Salt-laden humidity in Fish Hoek gets into cupboards, ceilings and bathrooms, creating ideal conditions for fishmoths, silverfish and cockroaches. When cold fronts hit the coast, rats and mice look for dry shelter in roofs and garages.
Suburban gardens. Leafy gardens in Fish Hoek are great for families and pets, but also for ants, spiders and rodents. Overhanging trees give rats a route into the roof, and dogs bring fleas and ticks inside from the lawn.

Questions about rat & mouse control in Fish Hoek
How much does rat & mouse control cost in Fish Hoek?
Every property is different, so we quote per job. The main factors are the pest, the size of your home or business in Fish Hoek, how long the problem has been going on and whether a follow-up is needed. A photo on WhatsApp gets you the quickest quote.
Can you come out today in Fish Hoek?
Often, yes. Fish Hoek is within our Cape Town service area, so we can usually fit in same-day or next-day visits. Contact us early in the day for the best chance.
Will there be a smell from dead rats?
Most rodents leave the building after taking bait, but occasionally one dies in a ceiling or wall void and causes an odour for a short time. We position baits to reduce this risk and can advise if it happens.
